2014 Kaohsiung City Rivers Total Quantity Control and Point Source Reduction Project

Absrtact	2014 Kaohsiung City Rivers Total Quantity Control and Point Source Reduction Project Project Period: Apr. 18~Dec. 31, 2014. Each working items been done dated on Nov. 10 as below: Monthly Water Analysis of Rivers Offered by EPA in Major Survey Stations. Made Inspections of Major Key Stations in Kaohsiung City, 2014. The Water Quality gets better improvement, such as Er-ceng Bri. and Chong-de Bri. of Er-Jen River, Agongdian Bri. of Agongdian River, Min-zu Bri. and Hou-gang Bri. of Love River, as well as Fu-tian Bri. of Feng-shan River. Each reaches the improvement ratio in RPI, 12.60%, -7.17%, 8.76%, 13.5%, 9.5% and 29.2%. Investigation and Inspection of Industrial wastewater and Sewage Systems 96 permitted industrial units have been inspected. By Nov. 10 already made4784.4 points totally. Made 608 inspection actions.(including 410 general inspections and 198 sampling inspections and 40 of them were taken disciplinary action) Target of inspecting the industrial units for effluent sampling is 740.(Total 1541in various inspectionitems-100% finished in target) The animal husbandry is the major part in 198 industrial units (taken 39.4%). 43 undistinguished conduits were captured by our team. 19 of them were captured in inspection actions. The rest 24 were captured by operating scientific instruments. Already Made 10 Function Evaluations for Waste Water Treatment Facilities. Waste Water Treatment Facilities Intensive Inspection: Aim for 9 major Industrial Area and 6 industrial units. Aim for capital rivers in Kaohsiung City such as Agongdian River, Er-Jen River and Kao-ping River. Reported to EPA in Sep. of 2014. Held Four “Explanation Sessions of Regulations of Water Pollution Prevention” and “Explanation Sessions of Construction Runoff-Waste Water” for Industries in Sep. to Oct. There is no oil spill occurrence by Nov. 10 in Kaohsiung City. We also made the maintenance and check-out for water pollution prevention response equipments from Apr. to Dec. Made inspections for 50 industries in use of oil storage by Nov. 10.
